General

What is Decido?

Decido helps you make better daily choices by scanning food products and everyday objects with quick, clear explanations.

Is Decido free to use?

Yes. The free plan includes complete analyses, 10 monthly scans in each category and 10 Ask Decido AI messages. Decido Plus makes scans and chat unlimited.

Do I need an account to use Decido?

You can explore part of the app without signing in, but an account is recommended to save progress and use personalized features.

Scanning and results

What can I scan with Decido?

You can scan food products via barcode and objects or tools through the camera flow in the Objects section.

How do I get better scan results?

Keep the barcode fully in frame, use good lighting, avoid blur and glare, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Why do some products not show a score?

Some categories do not receive a score by design. In those cases Decido still shows useful information when available.

Why does the app say there is not enough data?

Sometimes available product data is incomplete, outdated, or too limited for a full analysis. The app avoids potentially misleading output.

How is the score for food products calculated?

The food score is a general indication designed to help you make more conscious choices, not medical advice. Our internal algorithm evaluates each product based on three main pillars: 1. Nutritional profile: we analyze nutritional values using recognized standards like the Nutri-Score. 2. Degree of processing: we evaluate how processed the food is, referring to the NOVA group classification. 3. Additives analysis: we cross-reference the additives present with scientific literature to evaluate their potential impact. These elements are weighted and combined by our system to offer you a synthetic, easy-to-interpret evaluation, without replacing your own judgment or professional guidance.

How is the score for tools calculated?

The score for tools is an indication designed to evaluate daily use, not an absolute safety certification. Our system analyzes the materials that make up the tool by comparing them with available scientific and toxicological literature. Based on this data, we evaluate the stability of the material and the potential risk of releasing unwanted substances (such as microplastics, endocrine disruptors, or heavy metals) over time, with wear, and at different temperatures. The goal is to translate complex technical data into a practical guide for your purchases.

Can I treat Decido as medical advice?

No. Decido supports informed decisions but does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Personalization

What is the Exposure Index?

The Exposure Index is a simplified score that summarizes your overall exposure profile based on tracked items and usage habits.

Can I customize alerts and preferences?

Yes. During onboarding and in profile settings, you can personalize goals and checks, including allergen-related preferences.

Can I update allergies or intolerances later?

Yes. You can update them anytime in your profile settings and changes apply to your future app experience.

Can I change app language?

Yes. Decido supports multiple languages and you can switch language from settings when available in your app version.

Account, history, and subscription

Where can I see my past scans?

Open the History tab to review recent scans for both Food and Objects.

How do I delete my account?

Open Profile and choose Delete account. You will see a final confirmation step because this action is permanent.

What happens if I delete my account?

Account deletion is irreversible. You lose access to your account data and cannot recover it later.

What is included in Decido Plus?

Decido Plus can include advanced analysis and additional insights beyond the Free plan. Current features are always shown in-app before purchase.

How do free trial and billing work?

If a trial is offered, billing starts only after the trial ends unless you cancel in time. Current terms are shown in the in-app purchase flow.

I changed phone or reinstalled the app. How do I restore access?

Sign in with the same account and use the in-app restore option when needed. If access is still missing, contact support from the app.

Privacy, notifications, and support

Does Decido protect my privacy?

Decido is designed with privacy in mind and provides dedicated Privacy and Terms pages that you can review anytime from your profile.

Why should I enable notifications?

Notifications help you avoid missing relevant updates, reminders, and important app events.
